This is an early B&L USA Balorama produced before Ray-Ban assigned model numbers, making it part of the first-generation production.

A true collector’s piece. This is an early-generation Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban Balorama, produced in the early–mid 1960s and preserved in exceptional deadstock condition. The rare two-tone burgundy-over-black acetate is almost never seen in surviving examples, and this frame retains its original B&L impact-resistant G-15 glass lenses, both correctly etched BL near the hinges. Lenses are remarkably clean for their age with no haze, separation, or coating issues.
These early Baloramas predate the later 4089 and represent the original U.S.-made lineage.

- Early 5-barrel hinges
- 1960s embossed black Ray-Ban snap case (included)
