Description

An outstanding example of early CAZAL design, the Model 221 captures everything that made Cari Zalloni’s work revolutionary during the 1980s. The dramatic floating lens design, sculpted double-chevron bridge, and contrasting red enamel accents create a frame that is unmistakably CAZAL—architectural, futuristic, and decades ahead of its time.

Made in West Germany and marked “Patent Pending”, this is one of the earlier production examples from the golden era of CAZAL. The combination of champagne gold metal, deep burgundy/red detailing, and minimalist rimless construction gives the frame an elegant yet unmistakably bold presence.

This pair remains unworn New Old Stock, retaining its original factory demo lenses with the CAZAL script etching.
