Why We Love Them | Era & Relevance

The OP-4 is one of Oliver Peoples’ most collectible Japanese-made optical designs. The combination of a slim acetate browline with a lightweight titanium Windsor rim creates an understated, architectural look that has become increasingly difficult to find. The warm Sycamore (SYC) acetate gives this version a softer vintage character than the Matte Black model while retaining the same refined Japanese craftsmanship. Unworn examples with original demo lenses and full kit are becoming increasingly scarce. Current Japanese-made Oliver Peoples limited editions retail between approximately $524 and $630, highlighting the continued demand for premium handmade production.
