Why We Love Them | Era & Relevance

Released as part of the original Oliver Peoples × Fai Khadra collaboration in 2022, the Fai captures the slim, early-2000s rectangular look while adding unusually detailed construction. The exposed barbed-wire-inspired core wire, sculpted acetate temples, silver hardware, and burgundy crystal lenses make the design immediately recognizable without relying on oversized exterior branding. 

This original Fai configuration is no longer part of the active Oliver Peoples assortment. Current Fai II and Fai III models use different silhouettes and construction, making this first-generation example a distinct collaboration release rather than a current-production color variation.
