The Yves is a commanding, oversized rectangular silhouette inspired by the iconic eyewear worn by French couturier Yves Saint Laurent during the height of the Super Seventies.

Why We Love Them | Era & Relevance

The Yves is one of Jacques Marie Mage's definitive designs—a bold interpretation of the softly squared frames associated with Yves Saint Laurent's unmistakable 1970s style.

Auburn is in an entirely different category from standard Yves releases. Its dramatic acetate changes character under different lighting, moving from deep burgundy and polished dark wood to glowing tobacco and amber. The sculpted temples reveal even more of the layered coloration, terminating in beautifully engraved transparent details that expose the internal wirecore design.

Only 50 examples were produced, making Auburn one of the rarest Yves colorways. This release is sold out, and an UNWORN, all-original Full Kit example is an exceptional find for a serious JMM collection. The production count, bronze lenses, dimensions and sold-out.
