Frame Details

The Pepper in Vintage Havana from Jacques Marie Mage’s A Decade of Hopper, 2016–2026 anniversary collection. Warm amber and reddish-brown tortoiseshell acetate pairs with gold-tone arrowhead pins, substantial hinges and exposed, intricately engraved temple cores.

• Limited edition of 100 pieces, confirmed by the frame engraving and accompanying certificate.

Lenses

Original Dark Tuscan CR-39 lenses, with a warm brown tint and discreet JMM lens marking. The manufacturer’s colour designation matches Vintage Havana.

Why We Love Them | Era & Relevance

First introduced in 2018, the Pepper draws inspiration from Robert Walker Jr.’s photograph Dennis Hopper in Front of a Dr. Pepper Sign, 1965. This anniversary edition celebrates a decade of JMM’s relationship with Hopper’s legacy, developed in collaboration with Marin Hopper and Hopper Goods. Vintage Havana brings warmth and depth to the sculpted silhouette, while the engraved temple cores give the frame its distinctive collector appeal.
