SIZE & FIT

Temple Length: 146–157mm adjustable

The telescoping temple system is one of the DAIDO’s defining technical features, allowing the temples to extend from approximately 146mm to 157mm. Multiple specialist JMM retailers independently publish the same core measurements.
One Japanese JMM retailer also records the complete front dimensions as 150mm wide × approximately 55mm high, with the actual lens height at 53mm.
WHY WE LOVE THEM | ERA & RELEVANCE
The DAIDO is not simply another JMM aviator.
It belongs to the KYOSHO Collection, a series created around the idea of the Japanese kyosho — a master of their craft — celebrating influential Japanese artists and the relationship between historic craftsmanship and modern innovation.
The DAIDO takes its inspiration from celebrated Japanese photographer Daidō Moriyama and translates that artistic perspective into a highly technical titanium frame.
The result feels simultaneously vintage aviation, industrial design and contemporary Japanese luxury.
Most importantly for collectors, this model represents a genuine milestone in the series:
The first titanium frame produced within KYOSHO.
This is a contemporary limited-production collectible, not vintage.

KYOSHO COLLECTOR’S PRESENTATION
The DAIDO received a dedicated presentation substantially more elaborate than standard JMM packaging.
The KYOSHO set was supplied in a burgundy silk-covered monograph box with a burgundy leather Longhorn case, double-sided microfiber cleaning cloth, collection literature and limited-edition documentation presented on traditional Japanese washi paper.
The special cleaning cloth reproduces imagery from Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Specter, the famous Edo-period woodblock composition by Utagawa Kuniyoshi, circa 1843–1847.
Your photographs show the dedicated KYOSHO box, collection literature and special cleaning cloth — all important components of the complete collector presentation.
