Why We Love Them | Era & Relevance

Created for the inaugural 2020 eyewear collaboration between Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God and Barton Perreira, the FGBP.2020 was inspired by the optical frames Lorenzo regularly wore during his design process.

The silhouette translates Fear of God’s signature neutral color palette into Japanese-made luxury eyewear. Matte Linen is arguably the collection’s most recognizable colorway, pairing translucent cream acetate with lightly washed gradient lenses. Its quiet proportions and minimal branding make it especially representative of Lorenzo’s relaxed, refined design language.

Originally retailing for $510, the collaboration is discontinued and the Matte Linen colorway is sold out through established retailers.
