Frame Details

The DG2023 is Dolce & Gabbana's modern take on the pilot frame. It has a broad, softly squared aviator lens shape and a straight top bar that forms a double bridge across the brow. The frame is finished in a polished gunmetal tone that reads cool and understated. The flat metal temples carry "DOLCE & GABBANA" lettering near the hinge and end in black temple tips. It is a clean, architectural piece with no ornament beyond the lettering.

Why We Love Them | Era & Relevance

Vintage. The DG2023 comes from Dolce & Gabbana's mainline metal eyewear of the 2000s, when the house reworked the classic pilot frame with oversized lenses and a strong horizontal top bar. This gunmetal and solid-brown version is the more restrained side of that period: masculine, precise, and without the logo hardware found on many of its contemporaries. Unworn examples with the original lens sticker in place are uncommon.
