HISTORICAL NOTES:

Originally produced in the late 1950s to early 1960s, these sunglasses were manufactured in the USA by Cool-Ray, Inc., using genuine Polaroid® polarized lenses — a revolutionary lens technology of the time that screens out reflected glare through polarization, not just tint.

The sculpted amber tortoise frame was made by Peekini, a mid-century acetate frame maker known for bold, atomic-era silhouettes. The Polaroid 112 model was part of their premium polarized line, and the included original swing tag verifies both authenticity and function — with a built-in lens test still intact.
