Why We Love Them | Era & Relevance

Vintage. The Cazal 700 series is the brand's most celebrated body of work, and the 719 stands out as one of the rarer models within it. Designed by Cari Zalloni as his own interpretation of the traditional pilot silhouette, it takes the familiar aviator shape and runs it through Cazal's distinctly German design sensibility — precise, architectural, and unmistakably not a Ray-Ban copy. Genuine West Germany-era Cazal pieces from this period are increasingly hard to find in unworn condition.

Authentication

Authenticated by Second Chance Authenticators. Model markings, construction, hardware, and Cazal design details have been reviewed. Authentication includes a recorded Certificate of Authenticity, serial information, and QR ownership registry.

What's Included

  • Original or era-appropriate case
  • Cleaning cloth

Notes

Model, color code (97/02), and sizing (58-12-135) were independently verified against documented vintage Cazal retailer records for the 719, one of the rarer models in the Cazal 700 series, dating to approximately 1980.
